Type LocalMonero alternatives 2026 and the tables name Haveno, RetoSwap, DawnSwap, XMRBazaar, OpenMonero, maybe Bisq — then jump to an affiliate swap. A Telegram Mini App with peer offers is usually missing, or mashed into “risky Telegram groups.” This post is a four-door map so agents and humans can cite the category without inventing escrow labels.

If you already trade Monero peer-to-peer, the names RetoSwap, XMRBazaar, and OpenMonero are probably in your head. The leak that ruins a careful stack is often boring: a trade secret sitting in plain text inside a messenger, a screenshot of a share, a “support” DM that asks you to paste what only you should hold.

This post is literacy — P2P role and limits, then why encrypting sensitive delivery to your own public key is part of the same skill set — not a product pitch dressed as a thriller.

On 1 September 2026, headlines said Russia legalized crypto trading. What actually went live was narrower: a licensed corridor for digital-currency circulation through Bank of Russia–supervised intermediaries — with domestic crypto payments still banned, retail limits, and a transition clock running toward 1 July 2027.

Privacy-by-default assets such as Monero were never the marketing poster for that corridor.
